Two months into 2026, the year is already gathering momentum.
We began this year with renewed energy, courage and an unshakable belief in the power of opportunity. What we have seen in January and February confirms that this belief is well placed.
This year has already brought fresh possibility, to grow, to rise above circumstance and to build on strong foundations. Every challenge has become a chance to strengthen character. Every young life we support reminds us why this work matters.
With clear intent and deep commitment, we continue to move forward, supporting the Legacy Project students, strengthening partnerships and turning potential into lasting achievement.

A Year of Meaningful Growth
2026 marks significant progress for the Legacy Project.
We have grown from 30 to over 50 students attending Pretoria Boys High School. This is more than an increase in numbers, it represents expanded opportunity, deeper impact and renewed belief in what is possible when potential is supported with purpose.
The Legacy Project students continue to excel across academics, sport and culture. Their discipline and determination are laying the groundwork for futures filled with promise. As a community, we share in their pride and their progress.
The year has started strong and the possibilities ahead are even greater.
2026 Already in Full Swing
The students have settled confidently into the year and are already making their mark.
Strong performances in cricket, basketball and athletics, including podium finishes, have set the tone for 2026. Momentum is building. Confidence is growing. Standards are rising. The legacy is not theoretical it is visible, measurable and in motion.
As we look ahead to the months to come, we do so with confidence. The foundation is firm, and the ambition is clear.
Athletics Season Overview:
The athletics season was marked by truly exceptional performances across all age groups.
A remarkable 19 boys from the Legacy Project were selected to represent the Inter-High team, showcasing the depth of talent and commitment within our program.
Collectively, they delivered an extraordinary medal haul:
- 13 Gold Medals
- 6 Silver Medals
- 3 Bronze Medals
In addition, the team achieved:
- 5 new meeting records broken
- 1 athlete crowned Junior Victor Ludorum and Best Sprinter Award
We are incredibly proud of each athlete who contributed to this phenomenal season.
Summer Cricket Season Overview:
The Pretoria Boys High School cricket teams delivered outstanding performances on the field this season, with exceptional individual contributions across multiple teams. Their commitment, discipline, and team-first mentality were clearly evident throughout the campaign.
We are proud to report strong representation at the highest levels of school cricket:
- 3 boys selected for the U/14 A team
- 2 boys selected for the U/15 A team
- 1 boy selected for the U/16 A team
- 1 boy selected for the 1st Team
This level of progression across age groups reflects both the quality of talent within the program and the consistent development pathway the boys are embracing.
Basketball Season Overview
The basketball teams competed with grit, discipline, and unwavering determination throughout the season. The boys delivered consistently strong performances, demonstrating teamwork, mental toughness, and composure under pressure. Their efforts translated into impressive results, including outstanding tournament performances and notable tournament victories.
We are proud of our representation in the following teams:
- 1 Boy selected for the U/14 A team
- 1 Boy selected for the U/15 A team
Beyond the wins, their true strength was their character, competing with grit, maintaining discipline, and representing the programme with pride. The season so far reflects growth, unity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
