Theo Manyama is a true pioneer of South African golf whose extraordinary journey began as a weekend caddy and culminated in becoming one of the most respected rules officials in the world.

Starting from modest beginnings, Theo rose through the ranks with unmatched dedication, eventually officiating at some of the biggest golf tournaments across all four majors – an achievement known as the “Grand Slam” of rules officiating. His knowledge, integrity, and leadership have earned him global respect in professional golf circles.

More than just a rules official, Theo has been a driving force behind transformation and inclusivity in South African golf. His mentorship and advocacy have opened doors for countless young players – many of whom have gone on to achieve national and international success.

Theo Manyama is also a proud member of the South African Golf Hall of Fame, and his legacy is deeply intertwined with the growth and accessibility of the game in South Africa.
