Doctor Khumalo, affectionately known as “16V,” is one of South Africa’s most beloved footballers, renowned for his creativity, vision, and elegance in midfield.

Born on 26 June 1967 in Soweto, Khumalo rose to fame with Kaizer Chiefs and was a key figure in the early Bafana Bafana era. He played a central role in South Africa’s 1996 African Cup of Nations victory and was instrumental in reintroducing South African football to the global stage after years of isolation.

With his signature flair and leadership, Khumalo became a symbol of footballing excellence and national pride, inspiring countless young players with his artistry and humility.
