Affectionately known as “Hutchie”, Denis Hutchinson is a legendary figure in South African golf, with a career that spans over six decades and bridges both athletic achievement and media excellence.

A former professional golfer with an illustrious international playing career, Hutchinson claimed victories on local and global tours, including his notable win at the 1959 Royal Durban Open. However, it was his transition into broadcasting that solidified his place in the hearts of millions. For over 40 years, Hutchinson has been the beloved voice of golf in South Africa, known for his warmth, insight, and unwavering passion for the game.

Beyond commentary, Hutchinson has been a tireless ambassador for golf and continues to mentor and guide emerging talent. He is also an Honorary Life President of the PGA of South Africa and a member of the South African Golf Hall of Fame.
